What is Thermal Ink Jet (TIJ) Printing?
Thermal Inkjet (TIJ) printers use ink cartridge-based systems to apply information onto packaging and products such as text, graphics, logos, 2D codes and barcodes. TIJ printers can help reduce production costs by printing directly onto packaging and cases, thereby removing the need for labels.
The TIJ technology uses a thermal printhead that is able to print directly onto almost any substrate without the need for a ribbon or ink tank. The use of thermal technology allows the printer to be more compact than other types of inkjet printers, while still offering high quality results at high speeds.
